Robert J. Huff graduated cum laude with a BFA from the University of Akron in 1977. He received the MFA degree with an emphasis in sculpture from Ohio State University in 1980. From 1981 through 2000 Robert taught sculpture and coordinated the sculpture area. Currently he teaches sculpture and Foundation Three Dimensional Design, and Coordinates the Foundation Three Dimensional Design classes.
Robert's work in sculpture includes objects for gallery exhibition, temporary mixed media installations and permanent public art projects. A special area of interest is the cross-over between sculpture installations in the environment and contemporary landscape architecture. Much of his recent work is in stone and is intended for outdoor installation. Robert's work has been exhibited nationally and in most regional institutions such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Akron Art Museum, the Cleveland Center for contemporary Art (now MOCA) the Sculpture Center in Cleveland,the Canton Museum of Art and the Dayton Art Institue. In 2004 he completed a permanent public art project for the Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio.
