UA hosts Martin Luther King Jr. Day Activities Fair on Jan. 17

The University of Akron will host a Martin Luther King Jr. Activities Fair from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, in the UA Student Union Ballroom. This annual event features more than 25 student and community organizations providing activities for students in grades K-12.

Activities will encourage nonviolence and civic responsibility and include face painting, coloring and crafts, dancing, gospel music performances, and historical information on the civil rights movement and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In addition, the American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.
