The CBA has scholarships available for students pursuing studies in entrepreneurship. The award criteria for each scholarship are listed below. For additional information, click on “Full Description”.


The Jeffrey R. Brashares Endowed Scholarship in Entrepreneurship

  • Minor or a certificate in entrepreneurship

John Wesley Doubledee Endowed Scholarship

  • Information systems management or international business major, or entrepreneurship minor
  • Lived in and graduated from high school in Summit County

The Alberta and E.C. McCormick, Jr. Educational Fund

  • First preference to children of employees of the McCormick Insurance Agency pursuing coursework in the CBA
  • Second preference to students pursuing an entrepreneurship minor or who have a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship. To be considered under this secondary criterion, candidates must:
    • have completed at least one entrepreneurship course in the CBA and plan to complete at least one more entrepreneurship course before graduation
    • have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25
    • currently own or plan to open their own business

Sidney R. and Cora Walker Scholarship

    Incoming Freshmen:
    • Direct admission to the CBA
    • ACT score of at least 21
    • Marketing management, sales management, integrated marketing communications or international business major
    Current Students:
    • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
    • Marketing management, sales management, integrated marketing communications or international business major, or entrepreneurship minor
    • Minimum enrollment of at least 6 credits per semester
