UA services available over the holidays
This page describes the University services that will be available:
- while the University is closed Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014 through Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015,
- when UA reopens Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 until spring semester 2015 classes begin Monday, Jan. 12.

The Office of the University Registrar will be closed Dec. 25 - Jan. 4. All My Akron functions — including registration, viewing of grades and accessing financial information — will be available online during that period.
- The deadline for submitting all grades is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16. Grade rosters will not be available after this deadline.
- End-of-term processing will not be completed until Friday, Dec. 19. As a result, students' online GPAs for fall may change due to repeated courses.
- Transcripts requiring fall 2014 grades will be processed beginning Friday, Dec. 19.
- Information on other University Registrar's Office services may be found at the Office of the University Registrar website.
Students: If you worked during pay period Dec. 1-12, you may want to provide a second, self-addressed, stamped envelope for the Dec. 19 paycheck. If you have direct deposit, you can view your deposit in My Akron.
For students who registered for spring classes, the tuition-payment deadline is Jan. 12. Additional information is here.
Students should refer to My Akron, Student Center, “Finances”; from here you can view your account, make a payment or sign up for the payment plan. Registration after Jan. 12 is due same day of registration. Students may be subject to late-payment fees and the prospect of being dropped from their classes if payment is not paid by their due date.
Students are encouraged to plan ahead and not wait until the last day to complete financial aid paperwork or to make required payments or payment arrangements. The financial aid disbursement date is scheduled for Jan. 2.
Residence Halls will close for winter break on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. Swipe access to halls will be temporarily suspended until spring semester. Residents may move into the residence halls for spring semester beginning at noon on Friday, Jan. 9. Classes will resume Monday, Jan. 12.
The first meal served at Rob’s Café will be breakfast starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, and close at 6 p.m. Sunday hours are noon-4 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.
The Department of Residence Life and Housing will be closed Dec. 25 - Jan. 4. There will be limited residence hall staff available during this staff. Should an emergency arise, call 330-972-7123 to contact the staff member on call.

The Roo Express will operate all normal routes through Saturday, Dec. 13. Only the Holiday route will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2014. There will be no routes running to Dave's Supermarket on Dec. 14, 2014.

All Roo Express shuttle service ends for the holiday break at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014. Only buses reserved for special events will be running during the holiday break ‹ these buses will not be available to the general campus community.
Roo Express operations will return to normal on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 with the published spring semester routes. If you have any questions, please contact the Parking and Transportation Services office at 330-972-7123.
Bierce Library, the Science and Technology Library (Auburn Science and Engineering Center), and Archival Services (Polsky Building) will be closed from Dec. 25 through Jan. 4, the period when the University is closed.

With the exception of the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, the Student Union will be closed Dec. 25-Jan. 4. Those who wish to visit Barnes & Noble should enter the building through the Carroll Street entrance, near the bookstore. All other entrances to the building will be locked.

The Zip Support Center will be closed Dec. 25 through Jan. 4. If you have access to the internet, you may visit our self service site, support.uakron.edu where there are many solutions to common problems. You may also visit the Zip Support Center and click on the "Submit an Online Request" link at the bottom. After submitting your request, you may log into FootPrints with your UAnet ID and password to check the status of inquiry. We will monitor the requests that are submitted to FootPrints.
If you do not have access to the Internet, you may leave a voice message at 330-972-6888. Employees from the support center will monitor this voice mailbox periodically during the week.
Computer Repair Services will be closed Dec. 25 through Jan. 4. If you have a computer being serviced by Computer Repair Services and it is ready for pick up, please pick it up by Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 3 p.m. Otherwise, you will not be able to pick it up until after Jan. 5.

Central Stores/Shipping and Receiving will be closed for the holiday break from Dec. 25 through Jan. 4. Any incoming items during this time should either be re-routed accordingly or picked-up at their FedEx/UPS locations.
The men's and women's basketball teams will play several games in Rhodes Arena over Winter Recess.
The women's team will play:
