Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems in Akron, Ohio, became the successor of the aircraft division of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Materials in the collection mainly cover the development and manufacturing of airships (dirigibles). The bulk of the collection consists of photographs, photograph albums, and glass plate slides.
