Learn how to craft an online teaching portfolio and improve your teaching philosophy.
Dr. Rebecca Britt, Assistant Professor in the School of Communication presents “Creating Your Online Presence: Developing your Online Teaching Portfolio,” on Thursday, October 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Leigh Hall 414.

“The workshop is primarily geared at faculty and graduate students who want to develop online portfolios and craft professional teaching philosophies,” says Dr. Britt. “I encourage both faculty and graduate students to consider attending.”
The workshop is offered through The University of Akron's Institute for Teaching and Learning (ITL) workshop, presentation and seminar series.
Creating Your Online Presence: Developing your Online Teaching Portfolio: In this workshop, attendees will learn how an online portfolio can help promote your work, or apply for a position, as well as tips and ideas on basic and advanced content for your online portfolio. As a result of this workshop, you will develop knowledge of how to create an online teaching portfolio. Additionally, you will recognize strategies for crafting a good teaching philosophy and what components are critical to include in your portfolio. Examples of online teaching portfolios, handouts, and hands-on strategies will be provided.
