Choose Ohio First STEM Scholarship
Eligibility
- Intend to pursue a bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field
- Biological sciences
- Physical sciences, including physics, chemistry, astronomy and materials sciences
- Mathematical sciences
- Computer and information sciences
- Geosciences
- Engineering
- Technology areas associated with the preceding fields (example: biotechnology, chemical technology, engineering technology, information technology, etc.)
- Teacher education/preparation in one of the above fields
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- A resident of Ohio
- Must maintain a full-time student enrolled status
- Continued progress towards achieving a degree in a STEM field of study
- Maintain good academic standing
Scholarship Obligations
- Participate in Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program socio-cultural, education and advising/mentoring meetings
- Participate and/or complete internship(s), projects and presentations connected with the Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program
- Participate in surveys, interviews or other methods to collect data pertinent to the administration of the Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program with an understanding these surveys will be de-identified and cannot be used against the scholarship recipient
2013-2014 Scholarship Application The application deadline is March 1, 2013.
The scholarship is $4,000 annually and renewable based on compliance with program expectations and availability of state funding. UA will award over $2.2 million in Choose Ohio First Scholarships to more than 550 scholars for 2013-2014. For more information or questions, please contact:
