Public Relations

Public Relations Concentration

Public Relations (PR) is one of the most popular concentrations in the School of Communication. Students who choose the Public Relations concentration develop a variety of professional communication skills. You will be able to write and speak effectively; research, plan and implement programs; create promotional tools, and stage special events. Many PR students participate in the internship program and have an opportunity to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world situations. Public relations professionals are employed by corporations, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, media, government agencies, and in fields such as sports and entertainment, education, health care, and finance.
