Lodging

Summit attendees can receive a discounted rate at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Akron Stow (10-15 minutes from UA) for $129/night on 7/31 and 8/1. (Note: There are no rooms for 8/2.) Each room has 2 queen beds. Rooms are limited at the Fairfield Inn along with other hotels in the area due to other events happening around Akron. We encourage you to book your room early. The last day to book rooms at the group rate for the Fairfield Inn is 7/24.

There are two ways to make reservations at the Fairfield Inn at the discounted rate.

  1. Reserve online by selecting your dates, clicking on “Special Rates” and then “Group Code”. Enter the group code of UOAUOAA.
  2. You can call the hotel at 1-330-940-1450. Simply ask for the group rate for the “University Of Akron” as that is the group name for the two nights.

Rooms can be canceled with 48 hours’ notice or by 7/29 at 6 pm. A cancellation penalty of one night’s rate is assessed for cancellations that occur outside of those timeframes.

Each guest will be responsible for any damage that is done to the rooms or property. The Fairfield Inn requires a refundable deposit in case of any damages. UA has simply organized this discount rate. All other responsibilities fall to individual hotel guests.

The hotel provides a daily complimentary breakfast for guests.
