Interlibrary Loan
The University of Akron University Libraries System

The UA Libraries (Bierce and Science) will be transitioning our Interlibrary Loan connection from ILLIAD to Tipasa on Monday, September 24th. Our hope is that on that date, University of Akron Students, Staff, and Faculty will have access to Tipasa for their Interlibrary Loan services.

Tipasa is a web-based Interlibrary Loan service, which will streamline the patron experience and make it easier to create and track requests. Even more exciting, users will log in to Tipasa with their UANet ID and password. Additionally, all Interlibrary Loan requests made before Monday, September 10th will still be honored.

Please bear with us as we make updates and other changes.

Welcome to Interlibrary Loan, a free service for all students, staff, and faculty which provides access to the resources from other libraries. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is available when searches through the UA Libraries catalog, OhioLINK, or Search Ohio provide no results due to materials being not owned, checked out, lost, or missing. Requests may be cancelled if they are available locally or if they cannot be supplied by other libraries.
Questions or concerns about Interlibrary Loan may be addressed to Caitlin Noussias. Please call 330-972-6275 for more information.

Please check the UA Libraries catalog, OhioLINK, or Search Ohio before making a requesst.

Interlibrary Loan is a free service for all students, staff, and faculty engaging in research of book titles, journal articles, theses and dissertations. As part of our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service, we borrow materials that are not available - checked out, lost or missing - in the UA Libraries catalog, OhioLINK, or Search Ohio.
