Biography
Dr. Buldum joined UA in 2001. He received his BS, MS and PhD degrees from Bilkent University in Turkey. He was a postdoctoral research associate and then research assistant professor at North Carolina Center for Nanoscale Materials at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Buldum was also a visiting scientist at IBM Almaden Research Laboratories and Harvard University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. His research has been supported by NSF, NIH and other sources. Dr. Buldum has published more than 50 journal and conference articles. He has over 3000 citations and carries h-index of 23. Part of his research was widely presented by the late Nobel Prize winner, professor Richard Smalley, in his “Our Energy Challenge” talks.
