Our Response to Coronavirus

Dear Patrons of E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall,

In keeping with advice and recommendations regarding COVID-19 from Governor DeWine and health officials to avoid the assemblage of large numbers of people within close proximity to one another, The University of Akron is canceling all large events previously scheduled on campus from now until at least August 2.

This also means that all previously scheduled events at E.J. Thomas Hall now until at least August 2 are canceled. We will let patrons know if and when they will be rescheduled.

We are working diligently to reschedule impacted performances and events and will share periodic updates from E.J. Thomas at 330-972-7595 and on our Facebook page. In the meantime, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Tuesday Musical Association, and Groundworks Dance Theater will be reaching out to audiences who have purchased tickets to their events.

Our box office remains open during regular box office hours of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We are staying current with developments and will continue to share information. We thank you for your patience as we follow the Governor’s recommendations to exercise a prudent level of caution.

All our best,
