Data Management Policies, Standards, & Procedures

The following data management policies, standards, and procedures are designed to aid the University in collecting, storing, and using data.  The Office of Information Security is responsible for developing and maintaining these policies, standards, and procedures.  

  • Policies are formal, high-level, rules that define the goals, objectives, and acceptable procedures or behaviors for a specified subject area.
  • Standards are mandatory actions or rules designed to support and conform to a policy.
  • Procedures describe the details of how to implement a standard or policy.
