Auditions for UA Dance Program's Spring Concert
UADC Spring Dance Concert Auditions will be held this Friday, January 14th at 4PM in Guzzetta Hall 194.
Seeking Dancers:
- Dance Majors
- Dance Minors
- Anyone enrolled in a dance class at UA
Please be sure to read the Choreographer's notes below before committing to the audition for that choreographer. The choreographers are willing to work with your schedule so please audition for any pieces you are interested in.
UADC's Spring Concert will be Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd. The week leading up to the show will have various tech activities. A more detailed schedule will be sent out this month so arrangements can be made to be there. Attendance at all show activities is mandatory unless arranged in advance.
Please fill out the Audition Form before auditions on Friday.

Spring Concert Choreographer Notes and Availability
Please read this document to understand what the choreographers are looking for in the audition process. After reading this, please fill in the MS Form and send your video audition materials in preparation for Friday auditions.
Colleen Barnes:
Contemporary, improvisation in conjunction with School of Music- will be presented at SOM concerts as well.
Rehearsal times will be chosen after cast is chosen.
Cara Hagan:
Looking for cast members who are interested in a collaborative process, resulting in the production of a short dance film. Filming and editing will be done by Cara Hagan. The product will be an original screen dance piece.
Rehearsal schedule- you must commit to all below:

Christine Howe:
Contemporary in style. We will be playing with the idea of empowerment through empathy and researching performative ways to bring the audience into an empathetic relationship with the dancers.
Rehearsal times will be chosen from the following potential time frames:
Fridays 1-2:30 or Thurs. 10:45-12:15, *willing to adjust with multiple smaller groups/adjust times slightly when cast is chosen
Abbey Boenig-Dombek:

Lauren Ferster:

Please submit a jazz combo showing precision and flexibility. Lauren’s piece will be a kick line piece with lots of precision.

Monday between 2-4 or Wednesday between 2-4 or between Friday 1-3

Contemporary Jazz - Music of Queen

Contemporary ballet/pointe shoes required
