The Literary Guild Excellence in Literary Criticism Prize was instituted by the Literary Guild in 2006. The award recognizes student achievement in the area of critical analysis of literary texts. The winning paper exemplifies the productive application of a critical methodology to a literary work (or works) of any type or genre. Competition for the award is open to all University of Akron undergraduates.
Who can enter:
Competition for the award is open to any currently enrolled undergraduate University of Akron student.
- Submitted papers should exemplify a critical-analytical approach to a literary work (or works) of any type or genre.
- The Submission should include the student's name, email address, and student id#. The submission should be placed in an envelope with the title of the award on the front and placed in the mailbox labeled for that award in the Department of English (Olin Hall 301).
