Virtual Labs
Using Horizon Virtual Desktop technology, The University of Akron has expanded lab access for some computer applications to all students and faculty. This “always-on” environment means you can access these programs at any time using any device anywhere you can get internet access.
Benefits
- Reduces costs while opening up the potential for additional software titles and functionality that was previously unavailable
- New Features:
- Ability for students to save data to their Google Cloud Drive via the browser as well as local client drive
- Everyone will be able to access the virtual lab via an iPad or Android Tablet
- AutoDesk 2017 software will be available in the Engineering Pool
