UA Press joins digital content consortium

11/11/2011

The University of Akron Press is one of 65 university presses and related scholarly publishers to offer digital books through the University Press Content Consortium, powered by Project Muse. Through this collaboration, researchers and teachers will have access to a wealth of high-quality, book-length scholarship, fully integrated with MUSE’s successful electronic journal collections.

"This is a great step forward for academic scholarship," says Thomas Bacher, director of the UA Press. "Not only can thousands of peer-reviewed e-books be downloaded to digital readers, but new content can be developed without always having to be printed like a traditional book. A digital platform meets the needs of today and future users."
