Professional & Academic Experience

Suranjan Shome is the founder of AOM Holdings (AOM) headquartered in Akron, Ohio. AOM operates several companies that are at various stages of growth, ranging from pre-revenue to ones that are generating millions of dollars in revenue and profits. These companies provide software and technology support services for organizations in the Healthcare & GovEd markets. They have been recognized by and won several growth awards from both national (INC1000) & local (Cascade Capital Growth) organizations. In 2015 Suranjan was a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Prior to 2007 Suranjan was the VP/COO for a Cleveland based technology company and was part of a team that grew company revenues from 3MM to over 60MM during his tenure. Suranjan's team works closely with Summit County to help bring entry level tech jobs to the area for displaced and under employed workers. Suranjan is committed to the Akron area for developing jobs and work opportunities for residents.

Suranjan has an undergraduate degree in Commerce / Economics from Delhi University in India. He has also completed an MBA from The University of Akron in 1991.

Suranjan is married to Carla Kun and they reside in Akron, Ohio. They have 3 adult children who live in Akron and Washington DC. Suranjan serves on the boards of two technology companies that have investors and customers from across the US as well as Europe & Asia.
