Pursue in-depth study in Business Analytics and choose a concentration in either Information Systems Management or Supply Chain Management. This degree is popular with those who have undergraduate degrees in computer science, information technology, management, or related fields, or for those who are planning to work in technology. Students with any background can pursue this degree.
Pursue either a professional accountancy option or an accounting information systems option. Students with accounting undergraduate degrees can combine their accounting backgrounds with coursework in information systems and finance to broaden their business knowledge. Students who are newer to accounting can gain the skills to pursue a career in the field.
We offer joint programs, as well as programs in collaboration with a number of departments across campus, to allow non-business students to expand their understanding of business and also reduce MBA requirements if they later choose to pursue the degree.
We also offer graduate certificates in Financial Management and SAS Certificate of Completion in Economic Data Analytics. See details.
To apply, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree.
Apply through the graduate school application process and specify that the application is for a certificate program. You will need to complete a new application for any additional program you want to enter.
When a student completes the requirements for a certificate, the certificate will be awarded after the student submits an application for the certificate to be issued using My Akron.
Please note: The graduate certificate program requires specific courses, none of which can be waived. Students enrolled in certificate programs are ineligible for financial aid.
