The University of Akron offers more than 200 undergraduate majors and areas of study. We also offer master’s and doctoral degrees, have a School of Law, and partnerships with two medical schools.  

Learning extends far beyond the classroom. Through internships, co-ops, clinical experiences, research and other experiential learning opportunities, students graduate with the skills and experience employers value. Career Services supports students from their first semester through graduation and beyond. 

The University of Akron is in Akron, Ohio’s fifth largest city. Students can experience unique eats, shop small businesses, vibe to live music, connect with nature, cheer on sports teams, get real-world experiences via internships, co-ops, clinicals and more.  

We offer competitive financial aid packages. Students who apply to the University are considered for a merit award at the time of admission. And for eligible Ohio students, the Making Akron Possible (MAP) Grant can cover full tuition and Akron fees after other grants and scholarships are applied. We encourage all families to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) too.
