CBA Interns Place 4th in National Competition

The CBA’s team of students who interned as financial representatives at Northwestern Mutual during 2011–12 have placed 4th in the company’s annual national internship competition.  

Akron was one of over 300 universities that participated in the competition. First place went to Colorado, second place to Missouri–Columbia and third place to DePaul.  Other schools in the top ten were Purdue, Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Indiana–Bloomington, Iowa, Michigan State and Colorado State. 

The students were rated on production volume with respect to their clients. The top ten teams will be recognized at the company’s annual College Awards Celebration. 

According to the Vault Guide to Internships, the financial representative internship program offered by Northwestern Mutual is one of the top ten internship programs in the country.
