Beta Alpha Psi (President); Accounting Association (Former President); Beta Gamma Sigma; The National Society of Leadership and Success; Women in Business; Dean’s Advisory Council.

Why the CBA?
The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of Akron caught my attention because they offer direct admission to their programs. The CBA also has a really cool accounting program that was too good to pass up. It is the Accelerated Bachelor of Science-Master of Science in Accounting Program, which allows for accounting students to receive their Master’s degree in five years, as well as enough credits to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.

Why Did You Choose Your Major?
Growing up I had always wanted to be a math teacher, but after many discussions with the people in my life I decided to look into some other career paths. My next thought was engineering, and I had even attended a summer engineering camp, but following completion of physics class, I reevaluated again. At this point is when I was first introduced to Accounting. I took two college level accounting courses throughout my high school career and found out that this is exactly where I was supposed to be.

Favorite part of UA
My favorite part about the University of Akron is the close-knit people that I have had the pleasure to get to know despite the size of the university as a whole. I have made amazing friends and have had the opportunity for many new adventures while being here. From growing up in a small town, it has been a wonderful, but different experience for me to be in the city.
