Akron Law BLSA moot court team receives award at Atlanta competition
Robert McGivney and Ellison Starnes show their award for the best respondent’s brief from the Thurgood Marshall Moot Competition last weekend.
In an excellent result for The University of Akron School of Law’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA) and Moot Court Honor Society, the team of second-year students Robert McGivney and Ellison Starnes received the best respondent's brief award in this past weekend's Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition in Atlanta.
“The team did a great job preparing for the competition on short notice,” said Professor Mike Gentithes, “and they have established a tradition of excellence for Akron Law at this event. Great job, Rob and Ellison!”
