Biography

Maria Campbell has been teaching at the Myers School of Art since 2017, focusing on Art Appreciation and Ancient to Medieval art. Her personal areas of research are in art within popular media and art born from cross-cultural exchange. She graduated from Kent State University in 2015 with her Master’s thesis was focused on creating a comprehensive history of women as artists and writers in American comic books, with considerations of fan culture.

Education

Undergraduate BFA in Fine Arts: Illustration with a minor in Art History from the Lesley University College of Art and Design (Formerly Art Institute of Boston), MA in Art History from Kent State University.
