Professional & Academic Experience

Since joining Timken in 2011, Ms. Rapp has been responsible for overseeing the company’s information technology global infrastructure, operations and security; aligning IT priorities with business strategies; and ensuring the effective and efficient rollout of new technologies to the organization. She is also the chair of the Women’s International Network Associate Resource Group at Timken.

Prior to joining Timken, Ms. Rapp was the chief information officer of OEConnection, an e-commerce joint venture between General Motors, Ford Motor Company and Snap-On Business Solutions, where she had overall responsibility for information services and quality assurance. Ms. Rapp’s background includes 25 years of experience in the software development, financial, consumer products, consulting and automotive industries. She has served in executive leadership roles, including as senior vice president, responsible for a corporate-wide CRM implementation at KeyCorp; vice president of client services at National City; and director of corporate strategic planning at American Greetings Corp.

Ms. Rapp is the treasurer of the Board of Directors for Stewart’s Caring Place, a local cancer-wellness center. She also is a member of the Board of Directors of The University of Akron’s Center for IT and e-Business and is an active participant in the Society of Information Management chapter in NE Ohio.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in international business from The University of Akron.
