Ohio Export Internship

The Ohio Export Internship Program (OEIP) offers students the unique opportunity to learn international trade skills in conjunction with a hands on internship experience.

The Program

  • Specialized export class during spring semester held at YSU's Williamson College of Business
  • Hands-on experience working with senior executives at dynamic Ohio companies
  • Aquire in-depth knowledge about new market opportunities
  • Paid compensation and class credit for internship experience

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Interest in exporting and international business
  • Detailed organization and planning skills
  • Commitment to working with a company full time over the summer
  • Graduation date later than summer 2019
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA

The Ohio Export Internship Program (OEIP) is offered by The Institute for Global Business in partnership with the Ohio Development Services Agency. The OEIP combines a Spring Semester export-focused course with a paid summer internship centered on expanding a company’s international market. The opportunity provides a way for undergraduate students to obtain real global business experience right here in Ohio.

Eligibility

  • Interest in exporting and international business
  • Detailed organization and planning skills
  • Attend a Spring Semester course on the YSU campus each Monday
  • Commitment to working with a company 40 hours/week for 12 weeks during summer
  • Graduation date later than Summer 2016
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA
