Dr. Stephen Harp
Steve Harp has BA and MA degrees in French and History, and a PhD in European history. He is the author of books on the history of primary schooling and nation building in Alsace-Lorraine, Michelin and cultural identity in modern France, nudism and European tourism in twentieth-century France, and the global history of rubber. He is currently at work on the social and environmental impact of tourism on the French Riviera after 1945. He is always eager to work with students interested in any aspect of modern French history. When not working, he does yoga, swims, lifts weights, and runs; he's thus both an archive and a gym rat.
