REFUND POLICY

Financial aid cannot be applied to a student account until 10 days before the semester begins. If refundable financial aid has been released to the student’s account and creates a credit balance, a refund may be issued.

Refunds are issued by mailed check unless you enroll in direct deposit through Direct Deposit for Student Refunds : The University of Akron, Ohio

The last full-refund day now coincides with the last day to drop courses without “WD” (or withdrawal) appearing on your academic record. *This policy is for 15-week courses.

• If you drop a 15-week class on or before the 14th day of a semester, you will receive a 100% refund.
• If you drop a 15-week class after the 14th day, you will receive no refund.
