Biomimicry Research and Innovation Center (BRIC)

The Biomimicry Research and Innovation Center as an internationally recognized leader in the rapidly growing field of biomimicry. BRIC is dedicated to connecting artists, businesspeople, designers, engineers, and scientists to advance biomimicry-based innovation. Members develop curricula, promote awareness of biomimicry, and accelerate innovation in partnership with with Great Lakes Biomimicry.

Conquer Chiari Research Center (CCRC)

Director: Dr. Francis Loth

A cross-discipline team at The Conquer Chiari Research Center apply the latest engineering, biological and psychological techniques and analyses to improve diagnoses and treatment options for people living with the Chiari malformation.

Institute for Biomedical Engineering Research (IBER)

Director: Dr. Hossein Tavana

The Institute promotes the growth and development of biomedical engineering research in medical devices and biomaterials in the Northeast Ohio region through collaboration with regional hospitals, industry, The Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron, NEOMED, and The University of Akron.
