The LFJJ COE received a Principal Preparation Innovation Grant of $77,233 awarded jointly by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The grant will allow Dr. Susan Clark (professor, Educational Foundations & Leadership) the opportunity to recreate the College’s Principalship master’s degree and licensure program as Ohio’s first competency-based leadership preparation program in the state. She will work closely with Superintendents from Stow, Barberton, and Akron City Schools and area school principals to develop a curriculum that will improve the effectiveness, skill, and efficiency of new principal leaders within the schools.
