The PPG Industries Foundation has strengthened the College of Engineering and Polymer Science’s Corrosion Program through recent support 
for PPG’s Increasing Diversity in Engineering Academics (IDEAS) Scholarships. The philanthropy will help support the Corrosion Squad’s community outreach, increase awareness of corrosion engineering within the robotics community and enhance UA’s partnership with K-12 schools.
The IDEAS program was established in 1990 to meet increasing demand for well-trained engineers in high technology areas. The PPG organization has worked closely with UA to educate students and increase awareness of STEM principles in the community.
