Annual Akron IP law symposium returns for 25th year

Panelists address a full house at the 2019 Symposium on Intellectual Property Law and Policy.

The Midwest’s premier annual intellectual property law CLE will mark its 25th year on Monday, March 27, at The University of Akron. Hosted by the University’s Center for Intellectual Property Law & Technology (UAIP), the Symposium on Intellectual Property Law and Policy is an In-person event that includes full-day Continuing Legal Education (CLE) panels. In addition to IP law practitioners, the event is appropriate for academics, patent holders, policymakers, jurists and students.

“Our primary purpose is to provide a high-quality program that attracts IP law practitioners to the University,” said Mark F. Schultz, Goodyear chair in intellectual property law and director of UAIP. “Events like this serve our local legal community while giving our students the opportunity to learn from and network with practitioners.”

The luncheon keynote speaker will be Gene Quinn, founder, CEO & president of IP Watchdog.

  • An additional $30 will be charged to walk-in registrants.
