2026 Summer Music Camps June 8 - 12

Due to a variety of factors, the University of Akron Summer Music Camp has been canceled for the 2026 season. We understand this may be disappointing, and we appreciate your understanding.

Students who have already enrolled may apply their camp tuition toward private study in our applied studios this summer. The University of Akron Music Institute offers a comprehensive pre‑professional program for students who wish to further develop their musical skills. Our program emphasizes a strong foundation in applied technique and essential musicianship, preparing students to successfully participate in and contribute to a vibrant and evolving performing arts field.

Private lessons will be taught by our distinguished faculty and provide an excellent opportunity for students to focus on individual technique, gain personalized instruction, and learn more about what the School of Performing Arts at the University of Akron can offer. We would be delighted to welcome your student into our studios this summer and introduce them to the experience of becoming a future Zip.

For families who prefer not to pursue private study, a full refund of prepaid camp tuition will be issued.
