Student Recreation and Wellness Center and Ocasek Natatorium

Student Recreation & Wellness Services (SWRS). Amenities at this award-winning facility include: leisure pool with a current river and vortex, spa, jogging track, cardio and strength equipment, five multi-function gyms, group exercise studios, climbing wall and adventure gear rental. Members can rent a locker for either a semester, six months, or annually.  In addition to regular memberships, the SRWC also offers guest passes and swim passes. The Ocasek Natatorium (ONAT). This facility is located next to the SWRC and includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, racquetball courts and fitness area. Free to faculty and staff.

Health Benefits and ‘Healthy U’ Wellness Program, 330-972-7090

The University’s Healthy U program helps encourage, support, and empower employees to make healthy lifestyle choices. Our health and wellness initiatives use the expertise and skills of our faculty and students from a variety of academic disciplines, including Sport Science & Wellness Education and the Health Sciences, as well as from our academic support areas. Student Health Services is open to all faculty and staff for a $15-per-visit charge. It is located in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Suite 260. Services include:

General Primary Health Care

  • Evaluation and treatment of uncomplicated illness and injury
  • Immunizations / Tuberculin skin testing
  • Academically required physical examinations
  • Referral assistance for health concerns beyond the scope of the department

Well Women's Clinic

  • Annual women's wellness exams including cervical cancer screening and testing for sexually transmitted infections
  • Patient information and education about healthy and safe lifestyle practices and contraceptive options
