Steven C. Caraboolad is a professor of political science, teaching courses that range from American government to world politics. He earned a B. A. in the field of political science from Kent State University where he went on to receive a M.A. from the Bliss Institute of the University of Akron.

He specializes in theory and local lobbying. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is a long-time practicing Paramedic in the city of Akron which he also holds the position of Local Union President for the International Association of EMT’s and Paramedics.

In 2005, he initiated the overturning of a Presidential Executive Order. The successful lobby resulted in the protection of workers in a Federal disaster zone.
