Welcome to the Western Reserve District 5 Website
This Year's District 5 Science Day: Saturday, March 17, 2018
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 2/16/18.
Thanks to everyone that helped make the spring 2017 WRD5 Science Day a success!
The Western Reserve District 5 Science Day is one of the 16 District Science Fairs held in Ohio each spring under the Ohio Junior Academy on Science. This year's event will be held on March 17th at The University of Akron.
Students in grades 5-12 prepared projects in one of the following areas: behavioral and social sciences, biochemistry, botany, chemistry, computers, earth and space sciences, engineering, environmental sciences, mathematics, medicine, microbiology, physics, or zoology.
We hope everyone enjoyed their experience and grew from it.

The new date for State Science Day is currently unknown.
At Large Fair - Check out this page if your school doesn't have a Science Day, but you want to do a Science Project.
NEW THIS YEAR - PLEASE READ!

- Teachers must register on STEMWizard: http://uakron.edu/wrsd/register-teacher. Please do A.S.A.P. (If you participated last year as a teacher, you are already registered.)
- ISEF has updated FORMS, and a unified form packet: http://uakron.edu/wrsd/forms-download.dot.
- UAkron has updated Forms (3 not 5!) and a Research Plan Template: http://uakron.edu/wrsd/forms-download.dot.
- Online Registration is just STEMWizard + Pay your fee. (No extra UAkron step this year.)
- Higher Registration Fees - first increase in 10 years.
