Sport Science/Coaching

The sport science/coaching graduate program option has been designed to meet the needs of individuals interested in learning how to become effective coaches. The program has been designed based on the published NASPE National Standards. Licensed educators may be able to use the sport science program to meet the master/30-hour requirement for the second renewal of their professional licensure. However, these individuals should seek renewal from their local professional development committee.

• Three letters of recommendation
• Statement of purpose

Application Deadline

Applications to the master's degree program in Physical Education - Sports Science/Coaching are accepted on a rolling basis.

Additional Information

The program meets the needs of Northeast Ohio and the State of Ohio by training students to be effective coaches and to prepare students for doctoral work in the field of sport and exercise science.

Assistantship/Scholarship Information

Not all departments offer graduate assistantships. Students should inquire with the department directly to determine assistantship availability.
