National Tax Conference <br> In Honor of Alvin H. Lieberman

The George W. Daverio School of Accountancy at The University of Akron invites tax professionals and accountants to the National Tax Conference in Honor of Al Lieberman (37th annual) on September 30, 2015 at the DoubleTree Hotel, 6200 Quarry Lane, Independence, Ohio 44131.

The conference agenda begins with a continental breakfast and registration at 7:45. The program starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Lunch, which is included free with registration, is scheduled for 11:45 a.m.

The conference, an outreach activity of the Daverio School, is designed to update tax practitioners in the accounting, legal, business, and governmental sectors. Prominent tax specialists and national experts will discuss new developments, tax-saving ideas, current issues, and changes in the federal, state and local tax laws. The morning session will include a round table session with vice presidents of tax at such companies as Sherwin Williams, Key Bank and Parker Hannifin. The morning session also includes segments on building and growing your reputation as a tax professional as well proposed regulation under IRC Section 751. The afternoon session will include segments on tax fraud and tax data security, recent tax legislation, and proposed tax legislation. This year’s conference covers some of the most vital topics in the area of taxation.

The Conference qualifies for 8 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit and 6.75 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit in Ohio.

Registration fees are $175 per attendee and $95 for each additional attendee from the same firm. The registration fee covers all conference materials as well as continental breakfast and lunch.
