APTS provides customized training to team from Indonesia

DSC_5738-4x6-WebAkron Polymer Technology Services (APTS) is currently hosting a team of ten scientists and engineers from Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT). The team traveled from Indonesia to receive customized training in rubber technology from APTS instructors. The customized training, being held over a three week period, includes topics ranging from raw materials for elastomer compounding to aircraft tire retreading technology.

“This training is very useful for us. We got a lot of knowledge, understanding, and new experience in formulation and characterization of rubber material. Overall, [the] facilities and instructors were so fabulous and made this training more interesting” says Riastuti Fidyaningsih, a member of the team.

DSC_5767-4x6-WebBPPT, translated as the “Center for Materials Technology Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology”, is a branch of the Ministry for Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
