CPSPE,
This month's safety focus is Campus Emergencies. The informational links here provide you access to important safety numbers, tips and guidelines that cover active shooter situations, hazardous weather, police services and contact information for other services on campus. Please review or print out the information provided here or from links below for your benefit.
The University of Akron Emergency Information Quick Guide provides a link for instructions to sign up for the Z-Alerts and the number to request a student safety escort if you are leaving the campus buildings late at night. This service is available 24 hours a day.
We will provide a FREE ALICE training on May 19th in GDYR Auditorium from 1:30-2:30pm. This training will teach you the strategies to increase your survival chances in the event of an active shooter on campus. This is not mandatory but you are encouraged to attend. An informational video about the ALICE training program is below.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
