Creative Writing Professor on LeBron James and Coming Home

David Giffels teaches creative nonfiction and serves on the faculty of the NEOMFA: Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing. His memoir All the Way Home: Building a Family in a Falling-Down House (William Morrow, 2008) has received widespread critical acclaim.

He is coauthor of Are We Not Men? We Are Devo! (SAF Publishing, 2003), and Wheels of Fortune: The Story of Rubber in Akron (University of Akron Press, 1998) and was a longtime columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal before joining our faculty in the Department of English.  His essays have been published in a wide range of respected journals and he was a writer for the MTV series Beavis and Butt-Head.
