Biography

Cindy S. Mast joined the Akron Law faculty as a full-time assistant professor of law in 2025.  Prior to her appointment, she served as a Legal Writing and Academic Bar Preparation Specialist and Bar Preparation Tutor at BARBRI. She has worked closely with law students across the country to strengthen their analytical writing skills and prepare them for licensure. Before joining BarBri, she served as a Law Firm and Academic Account Manager for Westlaw/Thomson Reuters. Her additional past experience included work in intellectual property at Bass, Berry & Sims in Nashville.

Mast earned her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Akron. A native of Ohio, Cindy returned to Northeast Ohio shortly after beginning her legal career.
