Biography

Sarah Starnes joined Akron Law in 2017 and has worked in a variety of roles within the law library. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor. She received her B.A. from Indiana University - Purdue University, Fort Wayne, her J.D. from Valparaiso University Law School, and her M.L.S. from Indiana University – Purdue University, Indianapolis.

She is a member of the Indiana bar and is active in both the American Association of Law Libraries and Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries. She teaches a variety of skills courses, including legal analysis, research, and writing, legal drafting for law review, advanced legal research, and legal technology. Her scholarship interests include the future of legal research, asynchronous learning, and the role of technology within the legal field.
