Academic Schedule of Classes

The Office of the University Registrar is responsible for coordinating the University's academic schedule of classes, general purpose classroom assignments and final examination schedules.

Below is a list of reference documents and forms that should aid in the development of your academic schedule:

  • Meeting Pattern Grid - Approved meeting pattern grid for fall and spring semester classes.
  • Meeting Pattern Grid (Summer) - Approved meeting pattern grid for summer semester classes.
  • Delivery mode information
    • In-person course: 100% face-to-face instruction; this type of instruction can be web-supported, however the number of face-to-face class meetings are not reduced.
    • Hybrid course: This instruction type combines in-person and online elements; typically a substantial portion of content is available online with a reduced number of face-to-face meetings.
    • Online course: 100% of instruction is completed online. Any course requiring in-person meetings, even one, cannot be considered an online course.
      • Online Synchronous: This type of instruction will meet online, with structured and consistent meeting pattern(s).
      • Online Asynchronous: This type of instruction does not require real-time meetings. Adherence to a meeting pattern is not required.
    • Blended course: This type of instruction is only used with courses having an Experiential instructional format. Courses with an Experiential instructional format typically consist of internships, student teaching, etc. Blended indicates there is also instruction outside of the experiential portion of the class regardless of the delivery mode (online or in-person).
    • Distance Learning course: This type of synchronous instruction connects a network of classrooms located on and off campus. One section of the course will be broadcasted simultaneously in other, previously designated, locations. More information on the distance learning format can be found here on the Distance Learning Services page.
