In an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus and promote the health and safety of our campus community, the Department of Student Conduct and Community Standards has suspended all in person services. All services, including student conduct meetings, will be offered remotely by email, phone and video conference during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). You may email questions or concerns to firstname.lastname@example.org or you may contact a member of our staff.
Student Conduct and Community Standards
The Department of Student Conduct and Community Standards believes in a commitment to advancing the following values:
- Personal growth
The University of Akron is an educational community of diverse peoples, processes and programs. While all of us have our individual backgrounds, outlooks, values and styles, we all share certain principles of personal responsibility, mutual respect and common decency.
Our campus culture requires that we maintain and extend those principles, for without them we cannot thrive as a humane and worthwhile university.
We share an expectation to uphold the following principles of culture as part of our responsibility to promote a civil climate for learning on our campus:
- Intellectual culture
- Culture of diversity
- Caring culture
- Culture of civility
- Responsible culture
