ABOUT UA’S RISK MANAGEMENT AND INSURANCE PROGRAM
The risk management and insurance industry is thriving in so many ways, but it seeks new talent to continue to expand. Ohio’s insurance industry will require approximately 29,000 new workers to fill positions in the risk management and insurance industries between now and 2024.
To help meet this need, the College of Business Administration at The University of Akron launched its new Risk Management and Insurance program in the Fall 2017 semester. The Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program provides the opportunity for students to earn a major, minor, or certificate at the undergraduate level and an MBA in RMI at the graduate level. These opportunities will allow students to engage in a highly rewarding career.
