Level Up is THE way to jump-start your college experience! This FREE, can’t-miss program for incoming first-year Roo's is designed to help you gain confidence, crush your goals, and build connections—all before classes begin! Plus, it flows seamlessly into your required New Roo Orientation, giving you a major edge to thrive in your first year and beyond.

This program is tailor-made for first-generation students (LINK FG PAGE HERE) (neither parent nor guardian has a bachelor’s degree) or anyone who wants to hit the ground running in college.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE LEVEL UP?

Enjoy an overnight stay and get a taste of residence hall living during orientation. Learn about the support offered by the Office of Academic & Retention Support.

  • Connect with other students and form meaningful connections before the start of classes.
  • Boost Academic Skills: Master productivity, time management, study hacks, financial literacy, and more.
  • Build Connections: Meet incredible peers, mentors, and staff who will guide and support you.
  • Master Essential Software: Gain confidence in managing your financial aid, tracking your grades, and streamlining your enrollment process.
  • Supercharge Orientation: Start your New Roo Orientation confident, prepared, and ahead of the game.
  • Overnight Fun: Get a taste of dorm life with an overnight stay before Orientation!

  • No additional charges to participate.
  • Overnight stay and all meals included.
  • Spacing is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

9:50 AM – 10:50 AM - Academic Success Basics

10:50 AM – 11:00 AM - Break

11:00 AM – 11:40 AM - Financial Aid Literacy

11:40 AM – 12:00 PM - Office of Academic and Retention Support (OARS) Programming

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM - Lunch at Rob’s Dining Hall

1:00 PM – 1:45 PM - Simmons Hall Scavenger Hunt

1:45 PM – 2:00 PM - Break – Transition to Bierce Library

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM - Workday Training: Class Registration & Campus Tools

3:00 PM – 3:15 PM - Break – Transition to Simmons Hall

3:15 PM – 4:00 PM - Student Panel: Advice and Q&A

4:00 PM – 4:15 PM - Closing Session
