The ISS group manages most of the enterprise web servers for the University. In most cases this means managing the web server platforms but not the content itself. Because so many applications and services are now web-based, the line between "web server" and "application system" is often not clear. This list includes the systems that are more traditionally considered web servers:
- Apache (multiple instances for multiple purposes)
- MS IIS (multiple instances for multiple purposes)
- Streaming media servers
- MS Sharepoint
- dotCMS, a Content Management System for the main UA website at www.uakron.edu
- MediaWiki server
- Wordpress server
- EZproxy, a proxy server for access to external library resources
