Chapter Bio:
We are the Eta Chapter of Delta Gamma, proud to be the oldest continuously active chapter of our fraternity. Established in 1879 at the University of Akron, our chapter holds a rich history rooted in sisterhood, service, and tradition.
Our national philanthropy is Service for Sight, through which we are dedicated to supporting individuals who are blind or visually impaired. This mission is deeply meaningful to our members and drives much of our service work and advocacy.
Our symbol is the anchor and our flower is the cream-colored rose. As Delta Gammas, we strive to uphold the highest standards of character and integrity, guided by Article II of our Constitution:
"The objects of this Fraternity shall be to foster high ideals of friendship among college women, to promote their educational and cultural interests, to create in them a true sense of social responsibility and to develop in them the best qualities of character."
