Biography

  • Possesses over twenty years of experience in career management services; four years in Academic Advising 
  • Have experience and responsibility for daily operation and management of a comprehensive career center on the campus. Major responsibilities have included the coordination of the career development services operation in the Career Center; works with graduating undergraduate and graduate students, and alumni, from all academic fields in providing career management consultation and advise for the job search 
  • Serves as primary liaison to the College of Education, Wayne College, and Adult Focus; assists with career fairs, education expo and other special events 
  • Member of NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers), MwACE (Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers), and AAEE (American Association for Employment in Education); works with other MAC Career Center Directors annually 
  • Faculty/Adviser Outreach Coordinator for Center; supervises graduate and student assistants 
  • Compiles supply and demand survey for education graduates for AAEE's annual survey 
  • Has interest in compiling research relevant to career and job search development of college students; currently conducting research in concert with the Office of Accessibilities 
  • Has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses for the College of Education and Summit College; has taught the Student Success course 
  • Has served on and currently serves on several university-wide and Student Affairs committees including: Professional Development, Student Affairs Mission Statement, Student Affairs
